SHELLIE BOWMAN, MA
Shellie Bowman is a masters-level clinician with 22 years experience helping individuals through intervention, counseling and recovery coaching. A member of the California Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (CAADAC), and the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC). Shellie is a Certified Addiction Counselor (CADC II) and a Certified Interventionist with the National Association of Drug and Alcohol Interventionists. Shellie began her career at the Menninger Clinic in Topeka, and later in Houston, until bringing her considerable experience to Options 4 Recovery.
Shellie also specializes in relapse prevention techniques, designing and implementing relapse prevention programs for numerous substance abuse and mental health treatment centers nationwide. Trained by the Gorski-CENAPS Advanced Relapse Prevention Certification School, her techniques have translated to a high success rate for relapse prevention and family intervention.

Originally an LPN, Carmalida Austin-Kent brings that compassion to the field of interventions and relapse prevention. Carmalida is a Recovery Specialist and received training from the Gorski-CENAPS Advanced Relapse Prevention Certification School. Carmalida is a Certified Recovery Coach through the National Association of Drug and Alcohol Interventionists. Carmalida spent three years on the Oxford House Advisory Board, an organization specializing in family crisis planning. She brings nearly 16 years of experience working with drug and alcohol clients to the relapse prevention and recovery coaching field.
Carmalida also spent five years on the Board of Directors of the Relapse Prevention Counseling Center, developing the policies and procedures for the Center and acting as a consultant for treatment and relapse prevention planning.
